I only ask as I rode one years ago and concluded as you did that:1. they go allright. 2. pretty much everything else is marginal. brakes are ok. but turning, bumps and "using" all that power was difficult to say the least. they are a stunning beast to open up but make sure its pointed in the right direction and that there aren't two many bumps in front of you. :o

I'd have to go back to 1988 for size 28 pants, below a few pics from those days.

Mr Montessa if you know Kevin Brennan #171 in the pic please pm me your number. Will pass it on to Kevin,  Kevin will ride this mx400 again this weekend for the 1st time in over 35 years wearing his original gear! Can't wait to get some photos.

Hi Carey and Montessa,
Carey ... would you be able to direct Kevin 171 to this Facebook group please?  It's a series of about 30 photo albums from MX days 1970s in Victoria.
About 800 pix loaded so far ... they are unearthed photos from Stoneys Photos archive.
Each album carries about 20 to 100 photos of a specific event.  Includes short circuit as well.
It's also an avenue to reconnect with several Victorian racers from those years - who are following the Facebook group.
Cheers Carey

Here's a few better pics, I have new side plate stickers and need to replace the rubber under the seat with some thinner rubber so it doesn't rip.
