i still use an old database at work called "Approach" it used to be part of the Lotus suite. it was made for win 95 i think but still works on win 7 (and probably win 10)

probably freeware now i guess.

I’m not sure about freeware, but I have been able to coax it into life for a client on Win7.

Probably best left on win98 though and that should remain in the bin.

Access on windows is easy, well pretty much. on Mac Filemaker Pro15 the best I've used so far, costs a bit but has integration from iPhone to Mac desk top or laptop.
I've just done an app to track all my cattle births deaths sales and treatments only took a few hours and works great.
When in DOUBT GAS IT!!!

Another vote for either Excel or Access.
Nothing you can't do in Excel really.
I think if you're not too confident with Excel you're going to struggle with project management software

All info is on the net somewhere, have vb 2010 fired up and a few forms created and working under the debug command, just starting to work with the databases now..... I don't mind learning it keeps the brain young.... confused, but young....
