Well I had a ripper of a weekend at Conondale, it was sure worth the long drive, and dodging burning semi trailers both up! and back! on the highway.
Getting to race with the Cavell bro’s on the BSA’s & rad Brad 090 on his CZ in Pre’75 makes you work a bit harder, even to keep them in sight. And it’s a buzz when you’re leading a race, clearing the stepup jump at Drunks Hill and a BSA flies past you at shoulder height and proceeds to land somewhere down the hill and then tear off in a cloud of roost!
The only bummer was my RM250 letting the Russ Williamson ‘longhair’ lookalikes team down in the relay race when we were sitting in forth from the start. Sorry about that Russ, Magoo, & big Bill.
So thanks to all the team at QVMX for a great effort once again.
(PS. If any one happened to see a Suzuki Fuel Cap on the grounds, or the exit road, or the Bruce Hwy even, I lost it off my ’84 RM 250 , please PM me or ph:0417633944 thanks)
