You are right you can't spell for shit.

MOTOCROSS  has only got one 'R"  it comes from the French word

MOTOCROSSE  Moto for motorcycle and Crosse for cross country.

Also word may change it to be spelt incorrectly so don't rely on spell check.

I spent the day spectating, but I reckon I spent just as much time talking to blokes I haven't seen in a while as I did watching the action on the various tracks. No complaints mind you, it was a great way to spend the day.

I wish I was riding the enduro loop thru the local forest tomorrow... And jeez the road bike guys look like they're having a blast, I'm keen to have a go at that too. Maybe riding again next year...

This event just seems to be getting bigger every year. Big crowd, lots of cool bikes; is there a similar event anywhere else in the world?

Tex

Very similar by the sounds of it to the Vintage Motorcycle Days weekend held each year in Ohio USA. Me and a couple of friends went last July for a look, all vintage bikes catered for with tracks including motocross, enduro, trials, road and flat-track, plus the biggest swap meet in USA (Mid-Ohio Swap Meet). If you're ever planning on being in USA during July and have a weekend free, may be worth scheduling it into your travel plans.

I've been to mid Ohio four times when I was working over there. Great venue, but the flat track was at a different course at a showground in town. The swap meet in unbelievable, the biggest problem for me was packing the goodies into my luggage for the trip back to Oz.

Poor old oz555ktm goes to the trouble of posting up some great pictures but rather than applaud him for that you choose to belittle him by criticising his use of the English language and giving him a word origin lesson, no doubt sourced straight from Google. It must be a little embarrassing for you, however, when you read back through your post and realise that you have failed to punctuate it correctly. Perhaps you should add "can't punctuate for shit" as a disclaimer for all your future posts.

Try proofreading your own sentence!

'Also word may change it to be spelt incorrectly'

And out on the track on my 83' XJ900R

Anyone get a picture of Keith Davies riding his bike?

Anyone get a picture of the Guzzi V8 with its fairing off?

Dennis don't let the spelling comment put you off any more photos - pretty please ;)
