just went to the tip to get rid of some oil and look what i picked up while waiting in line  looks like a dr100 with a 125 engine its not too vintge but it was free so ill live with that even came with 2 new valves

My first real bike was a YZ125e It was a wreck, when i got it it would of been about 1983 I was 13 I had to tell mum I found it at the tip (she hates noisy dirt bikes ) If she new I payed $75 she would have realy fliped out.   ( One of the many bikes I should of kept Iwish I could find another one for the same price)

Got a bit sidetracked and didn't get that picture up when I said. Anyway here it is now. CB100 from the tip. Price $25.
 I have given it a good cleaning. Points were closed so I opened them, fuelled it up, hooked up a battery and she ran, sweet little engine without a trace of smoke and no noises or rattles. Still had the key in it.




Other tip find this week is this CB350 twin. Engine turns over and has decent compression. We did a quick search of the metal heap and found the parts scattered around the bike. Unfortunately we couldn't find left muffler, forks, front guard or right hand side cover. This one I will restore. I like the old CB twins. It also has the key. Another $25.  If anyone has the missing parts id be happy to purchase/swap for them.

The 350 is a good score Quicky  I had one a few years back it had Dunstal mufflers on it bloody loud doing shift work I don't think the neighbours liked it  jimson

The 350 is a really excellent score, as people pay big money for those in the post classic vintage road race scene.

Go directly to the metal heap. Search yourself then go to store to pay for it.  . GET A RECEIPT with frame and engine number  . You need to look yourself as most of the folks running tip shops or the staff they use wont pick up this type of thing.

Dump day today !! and found this between some old ceiling plaster..Pretty brittle,has good colour  Think its about 30 years old ?
