« on: January 04, 2016, 02:04:27 pm »
Hi just replaced the main bearings on my IT 175. But the crank is bent it is running out 1 to 2mm on the flywheel side. So i am chasing a straight crank or a complete bottom end cheers John. ps can i get the crank straightened or rebuilt? or is it stuffed once its bent.

Probably just the thread on the end bent when a puller was used to get the flywheel off. It can be straightened but a small amount of runout in the thread is not a problem. Crank can be easily re-built as well. If the mains needed changing the bigend will be quite tired as well.
