XL500 rear Wheel
« on: January 02, 2016, 04:42:38 pm »
Hi all

Does anyone know if the rear wheel off an 82' XL500R will fit an 81' XL500s? As the 500s is a twin shock and the 500R is prolink the brake plates are different but I was wondering if the hubs were the same as I want to get a spare back wheel that I can fit a trials tyre to for dirt track and know of a 500R rolling frame that I can get my hands on.
85' Husky TE510, 83' XR250R, 76' DT400C, 81' XL500S, 85' XL250R, 80' XT250, 82' XT200.
Hmmm, What should I buy next?
In case you were wondering it was an 85' CR250R. Then a 76' DT250 and a 01' XR250 and it didn't stop there

Been there, done that.  ;D
The only time I have ever been out on a speedway track was on the 510 but seeing as the XL500 is lower to the ground I reckon it will do a better job and I am hoping to test that theory at the Broadford bike Bonanza this year but I am also thinking of putting it on club rego and doing some Vinduro's which is why I want to run 2 different back wheels. :)
