There were parts where I was pinned in top gear, and there was still hundreds of metres before the straight ran out... Perhaps a 125 MXer wasn't the ideal choice?
8-)
The TS tops out at around 130km/h or so. I guess the 125 MXer would make 90 or 100?
In any event, it's adrenalin pumping speeds.

I was really looking forward to showing off the fast sections where I was WOT in top gear and looking for a sixth!

I could have used an extra gear on the CR as it started to run out of legs on the open stuff but the 510 still had some in reserve. ;)
85' Husky TE510, 83' XR250R, 76' DT400C, 81' XL500S, 85' XL250R, 80' XT250, 82' XT200.
Hmmm, What should I buy next?
In case you were wondering it was an 85' CR250R. Then a 76' DT250 and a 01' XR250 and it didn't stop there

I had the IT tapped out in 6th gear a couple of times, that's somewhere in the vicinity of 140km/h (as confirmed by a mate, who has a working speedo, riding alongside down a fenceline track at home). Doing that sort of speed right next to a fence is pucker-inducing, to say the least ;D

Brilliant weekend, it was more than worth the 10hr round trip in the old farm ute.

My speedo cable came unscrewed and got dragged for a while, thanks to Tony and a couple of others pointing it out to me out there it was saved from self destruction in time.

(Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...)

David Boddy, (Mark's brother) has saved the day for Vinduro Penrite Team. He has graciously allowed us to share his helmetcam footage of the 2015 Cookardinia vinduro.
I think his helmet mount is one I will copy! It's great to see the throttle hand in action and the front wheel getting some much needed air.
Enjoy!
