You can buy them brand new from any good wheel shop. From memory Akront was bought out/became Morad rims. They are same mud catcher profile. You can get them blank, drilled to suit what ever hubs you want. If you are really fussy you can put Akront decals on them. There is some discussion in bike circles as to wether the brand new Akronts you see on ebay are genuine or fakes. I have seen them in the flesh as I got some from Singapore or some place on ebay for a Norton. They do look very good but I think they are fakes being sold as 'genuine Akront' they even repro the Akront rim boxes. Even speaking to guys doing Ducatis, they reckon they are repro/fakes although some of the sellers are saying they are a special batch made by the Akront factory just for them
, we doubt that. The price of the rims was just too cheap for them to be genuine Akront. The Morads are now made in Spain.
