I'm sure the organisers will have appropriate length races. All will be reveiled in the Sup Regs

All was revealed in the SA regs as well. That didn't hold water.

Hahaha .... actually that's not really funny Ted. Who wants to traverse the country to race in a 3 lap moto??

Let it go Ted, most riders were happy with the race length at Port Augusts as evidenced by the posts following the event. Don't start on this one when they've only just been awarded it and havn't had time to draw breath.

Simmo, you weren't at Port Augusta, and you don't know the Capes track or it's lap length. Its track condition/race time that tells the story rather than laps. Example 6 laps Nudgee = 3 laps Harrisville, roughly same race time.
Will you or Ted be actually riding at the event?

You're right for a change Col, I wasn't at Port Augusta, unfortunately unable to afford the trip. But I'm glad I wasn't after the races were shortened to a ridiculous 3 laps.

I hope for the future of the sport they don't make the same mistake again is all I'm saying.

How do you have an opinion on Port Augusta "ridiculous" number of laps, just because Ted told you? I was there and believe me or not most riders were happy with the duration of races May I suggest you resist the negatives until you know more about the Capes event. I can't believe it that you guys are into it already. If you don't go to WA it won't affect you one way or the other.

What do I have to be there to have an opinion?? I've raced motorcycles long enough to know what is right and what is wrong Col.  Tell me how do you change races from 4 laps to 3 laps after the sub regs have been published and entries received from all over Australia based on that??

Seriously do you think that is in keeping with improving the sport?  The support? The entries? The sponsorship?  To reduce races to 3 laps ON THE DAY people are at riders briefing????  If you say you think that's fine then you are kidding yourself.. Absolutely kidding yourself.

I was at the briefing, you were not. The officials stated their reasons, and riders had the opportunity to speak. A few spoke, the decision was made, and as said most were happy.

What were the officials STATED REASONS for shortening it?
