So most people seemed to understand that Evo bikes needed to be built our of parts from Evo bikes.
Some people understood that it was any drum brake forks, any air cooled motor, in any twin shock frame, providing those bits came from a Pre-85 or Pre-90 bike.
The Chair of the Commission, Mr David Tanner, has advised that a bike made from any age parts is OK providing it meets the three criteria.
So which is the "current interpretation"?
I can see that you want it to be simple, but it isn't. If you want your life to be simple, then you need official MA clarification (not an unofficial phone call or private message from Mr Tanner).
Trying to bury your head in the sand is likely to create a shitstorm. If you can get an official MA statement of where the line in the sand is, then it will be respected.
I have no vested interest in this: I sold my Evo bikes because I had the shits over the perpetual uncertainty.
But I am telling you that "just like always" is not going to save you drama - it's going to increase it.
