Clevis pin clipped on by R clip or a split pin?
« on: January 12, 2015, 04:10:40 pm »
Hi guys,

My TM uses clevis pins to hold the foot pegs on the frame.
Would you rather trust an R clip to hold the clevis pin on or hold it on with a split pin?

Thanks for your help

Cheers

I would go split pins
my road race bike was fitted with r clips on the calliper bolts (moms), front wheel. Went down in the kitty litter, got back to the pits all clips missing from the side I went down on.
