RM250Z Air Box
«

Gday all,
I ahve heard that a good mod for the RM250Z is add additional holes in the airbox to allow better flow.
Mine has a unmolested original airbox, i dont want to drill holes in the side so is there an aftermarket airbox available??
Thanks
Tim

DC plastic replicated a single side airbox
I think they copied Twin Air single side air box . To me it's a little goofy looking.DC should have copied the air box that Roost Factory used to make instead
If I raced a Suzuki I'd buy a set of stock covers off eBay and drill them instead of the covers on my bike'

Thanks Max,
I did find the DC set and they looked weird.
Will look for a set of drilled or original air box covers
Cheers

I never has issue with The Floater airbox. I thought the filters were easy to change and never had to guess it they were sitting correctly to seal .
I had a 125 and I noticesd no gain at all when I drilled my covers.

I take it back . I noticed one time. I rode my 125 in an off road event. Mud was deep with water on top. I was clutching it to get through at 11000 rpm and when I looked down I saw brown water being sucked right into the holes I drilled
My only DNF that year was the next weekend at an MX when my rod bearing went out
