A few people have asked about the level of difficulty at this event. Drakie rates it as about a "5 out of 10" and noted that it's easier than Harrow. Most of the tracks can be navigated by 4WD, and there shouldn't be anything that presents any real difficulty.

I don't have any shots of the course, but here are some pics from the Travel Victoria website to give you a general idea of what the Blackwood area is like:

Please note: None of these pics are of the actual course.

ok looks like I will come in on the Trentham road and turn down simmons reef rd then into rec reserve road and what looks like a tennis court could be the spot :o

The weekend is fast approaching thrillseekers! A few more details about the Blackwood Vinduro to whet your appetite - the course will be 60-65ks long, depending on how long the special test section will be. If you are heavy on the throttle or have a fuel tank with a thimbles capacity it is recommended that you drop a fuel container with the dump truck at the parc ferme at riders briefing. The fuel dump will be at about the half way point of the loop. Providing an added enhancement to the whole Vinduro experience no exact distance to the dump is available, just so you can enjoy the thrill of potentially running out of fuel!
There will be signs on the main road directing you to the main turn-offs, and as an added, no charge bonus, you will need to follow course arrows to find the parc ferme (hopefully Drakey isn't handling this part)!  :)
The loop seterouterer is very excited about the quality and variety of the terrain and is assuring all that any river crossings are quite manageable with the river level low.
Pre-entries are in excess of 50 at this point so at least there will be some other silly souls to ride with.

So there ya go - more updates as they become available and head off to the VERi website for the more mundane event details.
