I was  looking for something to bounce off or get stuck on ,but luckily there was nothing within 3.0 metres of the course at this point. I was just practicing my special side kick to fend of Stephen or Wayne.

I was most certainly in front for that "whole " lap , well some of the way, OK that corner and uphill section , maybe . It can be hard at times to stay in front of my two riding buddies as they both go "sort of OK"

(i live in a glass house and all my windows were broken a "long time ago"  8)

To carry on from the event report and a few photos i have an engine report on the mighty 1979 390 auto i rode at the Cookadinia vintage enduro. On the Thursday night before the event we fitted a N.O.S clutch pack and N.O.S first gear clutch... drum and shoes. On Saturday afternoon and until half a lap before our finish on Sunday afternoon man this thing hooked up like it was on steroids , however i made a rooky mistake when i replaced the clutch packs , i did not replace the securing screws in the main clutch drum.As result of this when had a main clutch failure resulting in just enough power transmission to get to the finish on what was our plnnned last lap, with a few cross country short cuts.Man this thing vibrated when this let loose. Cruised back to the pit  and we had a great laugh as it sat there and idled like vibrating madman .Easy fix and something to do next Saturday afternoon. Check out the photo's sheared the suckers right off.

One Teddy , it takes about 1.5 hrs to dismantle a manual transmission. (which you probably cant do because your only own a hammer , nail gun and assorted plastering tools)

Two Teddy , you usually need to remove the engine from the frame. (refer to above)

Three Teddy , the auto had a little problem and that took about ten minutes to dismantle and will probably take 1/2 of an hour to repair and assemble.

Four Mr Teddy you're a shit stirrer and i love it . (you would have loved how this thing was vibrating''''')  8)

 What was the most  number of  laps completed on the day ?
 Where are all the photos?

 I was just registering on Saturday afternoon (Honda XL350 1973) when I saw all the Husky boys rock up to the pits, I had a flash back to when I had my Husky, at the same time Damo from Yass was registering and said "I had one of those (Husky that is)" and my reply was so did I, I had a Husqvarna WRXC 500 2 stroke with a six speed box, it was my first step from having Jap bikes and indulging into this new faster world of European bikes. We'll F%(K that every time I took it for a ride the damn thing had an issue, whether it was brake related, lever, gearbox or whatever it always had an issue, but krickey it flew in a straight line when it did go. With regards it really pissed me off.

In your words "Easy fix and something to do next Saturday afternoon" well it's a good thing the Vinduros aren't held every few weekends as you'd miss them doing easy fixes (LOL)

Nathan did the most laps, he peddled the KDX constantly to get 14 done. That boy needs therapy.

The loop was shorter for some. A really nice flowing track, very enjoyable.

Jock and Tony (and others) must have taken a million photos between them, you had to keep your elbows up the whole way around the course :) I'd love to see some more......
