BSA was intact, just stopped.

I scratched the KDX due to not being confident enough with the lights.
Rode the WR200/YZ200WR instead. It's fantastic, right up to the point where I buried it in the Bog From Hell, and killed the clutch.
It actually went suddenly and dramatically, so I'm wondering if it has failed catastrophically rather than simply burned out.

Not that it matters right now....

Second section of the second lap, FWIW.

Right so i would have seen you then. I heard a little twoey right at the spot where you were in the field but was looking for a green one.  I have heard of people breaking clutch plates in half to get things working again as a bush repair job.

Yeah, it's gonna be awesome once the mud has set...  :o
A lot of fallen off, but the bike still has at least 20kg of mud on it.

The BSA sadly didn't get to far, ground clearance was a major issue and it seems they don't make clutch's like they used to. Mal was still very happy even though it wasn't a success. The bike got a lot of interest before the flag dropped and they are enjoying a different side of the event.
Those bog holes are nasty Nathan, they gobble up many a rider and bike.
All the riders that have made it through the night, good luck for your last lap.
Safe travels home Nathan and start prep for next year.

Thanks guys.
I won't be back next year - the event takes up too much of my time and too many brownie points, so I think it will become an every-second-year event. This event cost me Harrow and the Classic MX Nats... I wasn't going to enter this year, but the idea of taking the KDX to the Nationals, the 24 and the Four Day sucked me in.
By the time I realised I the KDX was a no-go, I was already well committed to the event.

2016 on the KDX is the current plan.... And I will start preparing for it now! ;D

The TT500 looked to be going well when I saw it. It looked good on the video too.
The DR400, the XT250K and the KLR sidecar were out early, which I think left the TT as the only class M (Pre-90) bike running.

It sounds like the BSA was a victim of a number of small-medium dramas combined.

Last I heard, there were 116 DNFs, and that was before the end of the event. About 170 starters.

I'm good. Haven't spoken to Relfy for a couple of weeks now, but he was unfazed last time I asked.

I got the new piston and rebuilt crank for the new motor today. Barrel goes off for replating on Wednesday. Ironically, the need for the new motor is reduced since the existing one has 24 hours less on it.
