I think only one white model IT made it to Aus.

I think the  IT 425 was available in white , my Dad had one but I'm not sure wether he brought it home from the USA or purchased it here in Aus.

It was a nice bike for Yamaha ,lots of mumbo , lucky for us next year he regained his senses and the next year he got another Husky

If memory serves me correctly, the IT425 had a blue tank and sidecovers with white front and rear guards.

Yes that's right Col.

I knew something on Dads IT was white.

Still , it was a great looking bike with heaps of mumbo.

Can Victorian residents go to Vic roads and get their own UVP,s for the event or are they specials ones organized by the club just for the event. cheers Andrew

My understanding is that UVP's are event specific.

I will check today to confirm 110 % .

I suspect you can but you would need to be "tricky" as they require a start and a destination or reason for the uvp

you could easily say you are selling the bike at harrow and the potential buyer wants to ride it...

its a grey area and best done thru the club I rekon but if you've missed the boat and want to go... worth trying I guess, only 50 bucks for 2 days

also we don't want to cause any issues for VERI by bypassing the system so I would check direct with them before winding vicroads up into a lather ;)

I have checked with Vic Roads

Technically , It is possible but not desirable by Vic. Roads.

The preferred method for events like the VERi events is for the club to make the group UVP applications for the event.

So given that , UVP's shall be applied for by the VERi Club for VERi events and the UVP should be applied for by the closing date stipulated by the club on the entry preamble or entry form.

I hope this clarifies the requirement for UVP.

Wombat, I know where you live - be afwaid!

Far be it from me to cause dissent and rancor within your team Canam370, but during my convesation with Wombat, the discussion inevitably turned to the possibility of your mount bursting into flame beneath you.

We agreed that in this eventuality it would be kindest to immediately throw you into the Glenelg River.

I suggested that perhaps some drill training to ensure that we have this procedure mastered would be a good idea. It would be terrible to be caught unprepared in an emergency after all.

Wombat was most enthusiastic about this, and thought we should repeat this procedure over and over again.

So, don’t be too harsh on Wombat, as he evidently does have your best interests at heart.

Probably best to not be remined of the XT. I gues we could compromise with the plastic tank TTs.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
