Yeah thanks to the guys for a great event. The track was great and got even better after the rain. Who were the photographers?

Thanks for the positive feed back on our ride over the weekend. The Vinduro Gods certainly smiled on us with that little bit of overnight rain making a good track even better. We are looking at doing another TWO Vinduros next year, one in March and the other in September  ;D ;D Lets hope there are no date clashes. The photographer was Allan McIntosh. To see his pics check out the Toowoomba Motorcycle Club Facebook Page. While you are looking at Facebook check out the Pictorial History of the Toowoomba Motorcycle Club page, you'll be surprised what our Club and our members have done over the past 103 years.

Thanks very much to Lawrie & the TMCC Team for all their work, I had a great weekend.
Both the Club & the riders made this a very friendly & welcoming event.

The loop was great, challenging in parts, but very suitable for vintage bikes.

Here's a link to the TMCC Facebook page, I had a bit of trouble finding it.

There are pics of me looking way more competent than I could have expected.
(shows what great photography can do & no special effects)

Cheers Daryl

Guys, if you came along tell your mates how good the weekend was.

It is a bit of a disappointment for the state of Vinduro in SEQLD that we had 27 paying riders at such an event when the weather was perfect and conditions excellent. In February, we had 47 riders and the conditions then were atrocious, hot (40+) and very dusty.

Saying that, thanks to those who did come, it was great to see you there. I enjoyed the weekend even though I was as crook as rook-wood Sunday.

Murphy's Creek is an area that is great for Goanna's and dirt bikes, nothing else. We had a bloke on a YZ125S doing Lap after Lap so the track is not that hard on an MX bike.

Lawrie and I mark the loops out on old bikes, I was on an XR200 and Lawrie his 84 Husky so there is never anything in our ride that is beyond an average rider.

Please send me any feedback on the event or any way that we can improve or make the TMCC Vinduro better and attract more riders.

Do we need to get these events on the QVMX calender? Any other suggestions to attract riders? Do we need to advertise in a national Magazine to attract a wider audience?

My Email address is  [email protected]

Cheers, Mick Jaeger

That would of been the ideal place to spread the word.

Hey Mick, sometimes there is no rhyme or reason when it comes to event attendance. Having said that there are a few things you can do. Get the event on QVMX calendar for sure. It was on the VERi list, and send VERi the dates as soon as you know them so they can be added again.

Ask the people who did come how they found about the event and work on that. Also think of your demographic - are they likely to find out about your events online or on Facebook? Sometimes it help to use other methods too.

Was there something else on that weekend that might've affected numbers, like a rugby game etc?

Sometimes though there simply is no explanation!

QVMX had a club championship round at QMP on the same day......we where going to be at Echo Valley but swapped around the dates to make it easier for you guys. We are doing our calendar for next year soon so will send you a copy so you can work in with it. BTW, numbers always seen to drop off after the Conondale Classic in August.
QVMX.....Australia's #1 VMX club......leading the way.
