Hi to all the three wheelers Ive got a roller sitting in the shed and as you know a project is needed to fulfil the empty space . Has anyone ever used the Yamaha MX range as a base for a chair . Iain

Go For It Iain back in the 90s my boys raced an RT360* powered roughy in pre75, It was never disgraced and even took a few wins even against 1100 Suzuki powered pre85 units in a combined mud meeting at Korweinguboora Victoria . The lighter weight helps in slop. Cheers Tim754

The 360 had a stroked crank so we did not really know it's swept area, it just went and went

Yep the Anthony's and it flew, put together properly they are a formidable weapon of choice I would recommend you get JSC sidecars to do the important stuff and use the best legal suspension allowed Hey I shouldnt be telling you this as I want to build one and then you will beat the pants off me

Hey Tim754! Was that the Korweinguboora meeting under water back in 1997? My mate little Franky was the guest monkey on a DT/RT 360 and any time the water got too deep they just picked the whole unit up (on full throttle) and more or less carried it across sections while the big machinery just sank and drowned. I won the pre80 open class from Noel Clarke from bendigo. Great meeting!

Yes Big Al, Franky was the poor soul that took up the offer to be on the sidecar that very soggy day! We had that stained piece of local wood trophy hanging in pride of place in our shed that burnt down . Cheers and trust me I am smiling at the screen with the memories!!

On another note ,the local Bendigo newspaper last week had an article on Noel Clarke. He is doing wonders in the wheelchair tennis comps about the traps . You cannot stop an honest to goodness true competitor!

Yeah Tim, great memories from the glory days. I read in last saturdays bendigo advertiser about Noel Carke and his wife have started a charity organistion for people in wheel chairs. Great to hear his disabilty isnt slowing him down.

he is the one i was building last year before my stack, just waiting on a ext pipe atm as the upright fouls the normal one, all panel work done now.

To fit one to your frame its about a grand or so for the chair and another grand for the leading link front end.

Iain I have a rough but genuine pre75 Wasp universal sidecar only frame  (not engine cradle obviously as ya fits this to whatever )you could borrow if you like. Very handy for fabricating a chassis as all the correct period sizing is in front of you. Tim754  (Could lug it down to the POBBB on the saturday.)

the motorcycle gods have given gifts of DT360A bits and peices and odds and sods, so its offical we are into the Pre75 sidecar business, I have no idea how and when this project will be done, so sorry Iain will probably drive you crazy and Freaky your sidecar will have someone to play with (one day hopefully) in the distant futre, all comments, recommendations will  be gladly received,
So Iain and Freaky the MX top end specs are the way................
