the csc took this action firstly for our members to get a cheaper way of competing in  csc series events. last year our members were paying $55.00 plus $11.00 for a one day comp licence and rider levy or $290.00 for the annual licence and again $11.00 rider levy plus club costs which equates to an entry fee of $115.00 which includes the one day licence and levy or approx. $105 which includes the cost on the national licence and rider levy. so the cost savings to our members will be the costs of the ma licence fee as opposed to the $50.00 aasa annual licence fee and the cheaper 014 entry fee.
this year all members will pay the same $50.00 annual aasa licence and $90.00 per event this covers a break up of insurance and club costs per rider for the event.
as we are affiliated with mv our members have been advised that they can ride other mv clubs events and depending on the number of events the one day comp licence would suit or if they were to ride 6 or more mv events then a national licence would be the cheaper alternative. also if they wished to compete in a national championship the one event national licence would suit.
what we see is that we have provided a cheaper alternative for our members who ride only csc series events and a choice if they also wish to ride mv permitted events.

So some costs of have come down and some costs have risen, fair enough. Aside from all the money that is taken for MA or AASA or whatever....exactly how much was the CLUB charging for entry to an event last year 2013?  and how how much does the CLUB charge for entry now in 2014??

Just kidding.... so.. petard..why do you charge so much to enter a club day...as previously stated.. on this side of the island we only charge $25 to race... unless it is on a private property and then the cost goes up $5 and the extra goes to the landowner... of which we only have 5 events this year like that..

So how much was the entry fee last year for your club days?  Don't include licence extra include MV rider levy.

Then how much is your entry fee this year.

Everyone can work out how much cheaper it might be.  Of course if a rider then chooses to rider at other clubs it will be dearer again.

As everyone should know there is two different groups in Road Racing and similar to when Cricket and Rugby League was split it is working real well  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  All that you will do is split the sport.

Last season if you had a yearly license the entry fee payable on the day was $55.00 for the first couple of rounds then raised to 65.00 for the remainder of the season which i thought was reasonable.

So why is it $90.00 this year an increase of $25.00.  Someone's not giving everyone all the facts.

I thought the name of this thread is CHEAPER ENTRY FEES.  How is $90.00 cheaper than $65.00.

An entry fee is what you pay to race.  The cost of licencing should be considered separate.  Some riders choose to pay for an annual licence and others pay for each meeting (one meeting licence).  If you participate in enough meetings and other things like practice or Classic Dirt or Broadford BB a yearly licence is cheaper and or more convenient.

As the now president of the Ballarat Rovers MCC I have been looking to go down this track for our clubbies, practice, etc. but stay affiliated so our members can get MA/MV licences still. Only getting our track inspected for MA/MV events on a need to basis. (As other clubs are already doing)

So as previously asked why has the "Entry" gone up?

As KTM47 said

Are their permits dearer and this is how they keep licence costs down? Do they have one day licences?

Thanks Perko
