I believe the 84 ATK560 was factory fitted with drum brakes front and rear, but you would have to put an evo compliant front end on it

The same guy also has a 85 model for sale and a 83 CR250 with mugen bits and an ohlins USD front end

The '84 ATK had a countershaft mounted disc brake I believe. It'll never fit into Evo, or shouldn't be.....(said Firko, dreading that he's started another Evo flame job )

So the single shock is judged link-less like a YZ?  So if it had a drum rear brake it could be EVO. Odd bike that dosent really fit EVO IMO.

There is on drum brake to my knowledge Mick, it had the rear disc brake mounted on the countershaft and after that idea proved to be prone to failure, a conventional rear disc went onto later models. I may be wrong but I don't think there were ever any drum/drum ATK's. The single shock setup is very similar to the KTM system and isn't linkaged.

Firko, there was a late '83 560 version that had what looked like Yamaha front end with drum rear brakes, so this could be legit Evo with correct  front end, still a cracker of a pre '85 weapon for $2500

I've read that in fact the KTM is like the ATK, as Leitner did a linkage-less bike for KTM several years prior to their version.

It is clearly an Evo bike in stock form.
Note the KTM TLS rear drum, just like the one for sale.

I can't pick the forks/hub on the bike in the official photo, but they could well be CR480 bits.
I do recall Horst Leitner being quoted in MXA or US DB in the very late 80s or early 90s saying that he thought the best forks ever were Kayaba's 43mm forks from the early 1980s because they had the least stiction (and that everything else could be fixed).

It would then seem likely that the '84 ATK had '83/84 Yamaha or '84 Suzuki forks & front brake on it. Triple clamps look like Yamaha to me.

As to Evo eligibility with the CR480 bits... The standard ATK is unquestionably Evo legal. This ATK has bits from its era (actually older), so they're neither "later bits", nor is it "modifying the bike to comply".

Nath....It's been stated that Evo has no era or period....so older / newer is totally irrelevant ( not my ruling, judgement, opinion......just saying )
