Out of curiosity what is considered to be a large collection of one brand of motorcycle ?

I ask this with no real understanding as to what is considered a large collection of one bike brand

In anticipation would thirty two Honda's ( all restored bar 4 ) be considered size able ?

some guys collect several of one brand, or several of one size/class, or a collection of a mix. Some wont select anything after a certain date or before a certain date.
I reckon 10 of anything is a good collection but others will say 3 of one make is too many.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say so each to their own.
Sounds like you have an obsession. :o ;D Good for you. ;D

Had 30 or more Suzuki dirt bikes at one time..not a large collection but  more than enough to ponder one's sanity ::)

A woman once asked me how many bikes I had and I didn't know the answer. That's when I sold most of my bikes.

Honda being the worlds largest M/C manufacturer must have produced thousands of models since they started building bikes , so i dont think 32 Hondas could be considered a large collection .

32 NSUs or 32 AJWs would be a large collection i suppose  :-\

A collection is all relative to the amount of space and money a man has. I did have all the 1984 CR Honda's at one stage, even the 60. At the time I had 28 bikes of various breeds. Most restored or good originals. It started to do my head in as I couldn't figure out how to find time to ride/start them all and keep them clean. Now I've narrowed the fleet down dramatically and am happy with a bike that represents every era from Pre70 to Pre85 and my "modern" 2003 Husaberg. And yes, I have a '74 XR75 and a CR/XR80 hybrid that live in the house. I think I might be able to ride and manage my collection now.....better to ride them than hide them  ;D
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.

Ive seen some photo's of some guy with over 20 Vincents. But he had a part time guy caring for them.
One thing I have noticed with large VMX collections is the neglect of bikes. If you think you can actually look after 50 + bikes your in denial. Just do the math if your 50+ and have another 20 bikes waiting for restro you will die before it happens. Or you need to be very rich and pay for someone to do most of the work.

No comment on the grounds of incrimination :o My mates wife asked once" how many of them go" I said "none any that go into my shed dont go" she said "but that bike you lent me worked" I said "yes but it wasn't in my shed was it and besides your husband maintained it"

Anthony Suttor has anything from 60-100 Bultacos in his shearing shed. I've been there a couple of times but never actually counted them but reckon it'd be closer to 100 than lower. I believe the farm's been sold or is for sale so unless Anthony's got another storage facility lined up, there might well be a whole lot of Bully's hitting the market in the near future.
