The one on ebay is a trail model, but at the end of day its still a b50, $5450, still a good buy.
I made the mistake selling my Two 71 model B50 with the slim line tank, one was purple strip and the other with a black strip,  which only came out for one years, sorry shakwell, i will not be selling this one. my friend has a beautiful B50, and to buy that bike you would pay between $10.500 to $12,000 for it. Get your mate to sell you one, he may even have one of mine.

Dave, even though I run the risk of Mr Grumpy accusing me of picking on you, I can't let it go without telling you that  the bike is not a trail model but is indeed a 1973 model B50MX, the last model before they went tits up.

Mark I am talking about the the blue tank b50 T on ebay.com.au, Just checked australian ebay, it must have been sold, I think your yellow tank mx is a 72 model.

I may have my dates and colours wrong. but i do know that the slim line tank was only made for one year.

Sorry Dave, it's hard for an old bloke like me to keep up. I didn't see any reference to a B50T for sale in this thread so I naturally assumed you meant the yellow bike we've been talking about. According to my information (b50.org)the B50MX tank colour go's like so.......
1970....No B50's produced.
1971....black stripe
1972....purple stripe
1973....yellow stripe
1974..  blue flash....(Triumph TR5MX)

hi mick 'slakewell' yrs ago an inverell vmx meet was canned the track near town was washed out,we all headed out to copeton dam
track for a ride/race .  barry? patterson- lismore guy?  let a few of us ride his beautiful B50 mx, what an impressive machine,did you ride it ,have you ridden one? why a B50?               cheers grant

I remember that day Grant I think we had even more fun with the canceled racing just play racing out at Copeton dam. Barry was letting a few of us do some laps on the grass track. Very nice bike and I think he changed it's colour a few times. He sold it during his messy divorce despite us pleading with him not to. And yes he always regretted it.Not only did we lose a great bike from the VMX scene we also lost Barry.  The B50 is for a friend not for myself. I'm thinking of something pre 65 for next year thou , some British iron.

think your'e being too kind there Firko  ,but i do like the candlesticks on the back,Daves referring to that blue B50 Trail that pops up now & again on e bay,Bob at Jim Eades Classic spares has it,if it hasn't been sold,i had a purple B50SS in 73 with the large tank,went into the shop to buy the beezer triple,walked out with the B50 instead,fugg knows what  i was thinking  ,
