Its a good clean project and it will restore well john, the unwanted Frame mounts have been removed, the frame will need a sand blast and painted, the engine runs beautiful, only needs a lick of paint, I have Brand new foot rests, and new foot rest mounts, new rear brake pads, new Red wing rear shocks, new Airbox boot, new air cleaner cage, new sprocket locking washers plates, new intake manifold, another set of front forks and the chrome is very good, fork seals, new alloy tank cap. Brand new Tank and guard decals, the alloy rims are original and in very good condition.
$2100 price is firm, thats what it owe me. cheers Dave

Hasn't it got a RT1 frame?.....maybe you shouldn't be advertising it on here as a DT2 MX250?...but a bitsa.

it looks similar to an RT1 frame Davey but the rear loop is definately not RT1...
i don't know that much about the DT/RT2 MX frames...
it sure would look nice if you finished it though Dave...

Even though it's stamped RT1 it's an RT2MX frame, not and RT1, they're different. Somebody buy it and give it a life. Please.

I have been told that only 500 rt1 or rt2 where built world wide.

I'm not 100% certain Dave but I think RT2MX frames were stamped RT1 and DT2MX frames stamped DT1. Iain would know for sure. I think it'd be an easier sale if you could tell potential buyers that the frames' definitely correct....even if it is a 360 frame with a 250 motor.

If you mean RT1 and RT2 trail bikes that's not right, they made squillions of them. The RT2MX and DT2MX (like yours) are totally different bikes and although pretty rare, I'd have thought they made more than 500.

Iain Told that the frame that I have is worth more than the hold bike, only 500 rt2 mx motocrossers where made world wide. I am not talking about trail bikes, I just won`t the bike to go to a fellow
that will restore it and use it., I am not going to finish it.

If that's true that they're so rare Iain might just have a point Dave. I've got two RT2MX engines, one in my flat tracker and the other in my under construction Hindall framed RT2MX. I didn't know they were so rare 8). Maybe I should buy yours for the frame and fit my motor and make a killing on the collector market ;D.
