I did :)

And to be honest, the trade off is they provide great feel compared to the later, stiffer (and more protective) boots.

Open face hat , Camel bib , trade mark no goggles ( my dad told me you don't need goggles if your in front )none of that sissy body armour ( you dont need that if your in front and you dont fall off  ;D )  RG boots ( i think they were a cheap copy of Rossis) and the trusty ole DT 125 hot rod :)

I recall buying a brand new Moto 111 from my local dealer on a Saturday morning on the way to a race in '82, cartwheeling in the first race badly, ending up with a bad concussion but nothing else. when I got back to the pits noticed my new moto 3 had a nice neat footpeg hole in the back of it, I think had I had a polycarbonate helmet on the end result might have been a little different. I went out next week and spent another weeks wages on another Bell moto 3.

Great memories, although I worry about the authenticity of the '76 DG ad.  An aluminium swingarm for an RM?  In 1976?  Its just unethical ;)

Love the "spring with a brain" on the same page.  (I hope my poor eyesight read that correctly...)
