Building up a 76 CR125GP mainly for nostalgic reasons and not to race at this point. Can any person point me in the right direction for a big bore kit for these bike? Seem to recall a 175GP piston and cylinder can be used. Thankyou.

My limited understanding would be a 175 enduro barrel and head / piston bolt on. Never herd of a GP 175 kit but I do like the sound of it. Not sure if it would be much chop up against a real GP 250 like a KTM thou

Probably would go well in the 125 class until you got caught.

Someone once told me that the only thing more heavier than his EX wife was a 125 Husky.
I do own own a Husky as well.

Maybe, but thought they were pretty good jiggers to run in 76 along with a 360 in the open class.

I rode one recently. It had no set up at all and was basically original. It went pretty good, not RM125B good but not too far off. Handled nice & certainly didn't fell heavy. With some set up & race prep, I think they would be ok. Surely different at least.

Thanks Michael, I figure you don't see many around and those that were, have often been made into a 250 or 390, so it is worth doing. Will call to see you for a few bits soon.

Check the stroke Husky1. I'm not sure what GP175 model yr referring to but in 76 the 175 Huskies I'm familiar with (CC model) had 57mm stroke & were based on the 250 engine while the 125s had 52mm stroke.
Earlier '175' Huskies (they weren't full 175s) had 52mm stroke & bolted onto 125 engine, but I think you'll find they were slow
