Mine almost stripped the threads of the bolt I was using, very very tight. And it wasn't much better putting new bearings in. I take it you've taken out the seals first? You can put a hacksaw blade in to cut the bearing but you don't want to mark the swing arm really so it's a last resort

Just realised I haven't taken out the oil seals ::)   Just got to get the sleeves out first, they are playing hard to get! What is the easiest way to get the oil seals out, just lever them out?

If you have the two piece collared bushes you can tap them out with a drift/knackered screwdriver as they meet in the centre of the bearing. The seals come out next with a screwdriver. It's been a while. You've probably already fixed it.

I got the seals out with a screwdriver and then the bushes came out easily.  The bearings required a bit of effort to get out and I've ordered bearings and seals from the local bearing place.
