There's an old saying...."the harder I work, the luckier I get".....life's full of good times and bad times....the good times always come back.....hang in there. :)

I have found that just getting on with whatever it is that you are doing at the time and looking forward to what s happening next keeps me going.
Never expect to much and you wont be dissapointed.  ;) ;D ;D

You have to have a passion Garry. There must be something in your life that fires up the boiler and gives you a reason to get out of bed in the morning. The grief we all suffer due to relationship problems, financial drains, work pressures, health problems and other speed humps can be minimalised if you have a passion to focus on. Sit down and think hard about what truly gives you a buzz that's as far away from the previously mentioned speed humps as possible and concentrate as much as you can on that. It might be tough getting the bad ju ju in your head to move over to make room for the good stuff but bit by bit it'll happen ;) Trust me on that.

While you're here, how's the Honda project progressing? I like what you're doing with that bike mate and was hoping you'd have it at CD10.

Sounds to me like he needs a sidecar, so he can grab a buddy and go riding together. 8)

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Just last weekend when I dragged out my little forgotten Indian 125 project from an old gypsy caravan. I thought of you mate  :D

I often think of how I may have missed the bus, one lifetime isn't long enough!

Think of it like trees, some grow fast and you say wow look at that! then abruptly drops dead. Some grow very slow and mighty things they become.

Funny you should post this. A bloke I know passed away the other week at 42. He was a keen VMXér and probably known to the QLD blokes.  He was always full of life and squeezed a lot out of it. I wasn't close to him but his passing has affected me and made me try to put at least some of the passion he had for his into my own life.

Fortunately for me, I started a family late in life.  So when I should be winding down, I have no choice but to wind it up as the kids keep me on the run.

I am with you. Having kids later has kept me in the game.  Had a lot of shit happen last decade or so. My son and his autism pretty much preoccupy me. Sat night a good friend injured himself badly in a bmx race. You never know when you might go. Gonna race all fall now,

Time waits for no man..... So do what ever it is that makes you happy and content at least once a day. Everybody needs some "me" time I reckon.

After a life time of what I thought was crap and bad decisions, I came to realise that we all walk a different path. Not all of us are born under a rainbow and some of us have to do things a bit harder than others. But, as my dear old grandfather used to say, "a lesson learnt is time well spent".

So rather that questioning why and what am I here for, I just get on with it and know that good times will come. Some of the speed humps look impossible to climb and at other times, the speed humps are a good excuse to launch a big jump off of on my B50......

Tough times never last, tough people do!
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.
