Very quiet up north
« on: May 22, 2008, 08:02:54 pm »
Has anyone noticed how quiet things are north of the border. Sir Bradalot, his fair maiden Maid Holeshot and Friar Squirt have nothing to say about the abysmal effort from their little football team. I'm amazed they got within 20 of the good guys.

They will probably use the excuse that Sir Bradalot is actually from N.S.W. (yes he is), and his two sidekicks are Viccos. Don't let them get away with it my friends, they are losers and nothing they can say or do can change that fact.

Please exclude Wes from this Queensland type insult because he scares the shit out of me. He wasn't one of the boys who fixed Tanya Zaetta up was he?

The Blues deserved that win; I've watched almost every Origin game and for me that was the Blues 'finest hour' (to paraphrase Winston).
They played excellent football - they attacked well and they defended even better.
They showed real ticker. They've learnt much and applied well the lessons of past series.

I've no idea why the two teams swapped hearts for the night...they won coz they played like QUEENSLANDERS!!

Bring on Suncorp-the new Cauldron.Coach Bellamy was the difference, although I admit his ideas were well executed. "Smell me Finger" needs to make a couple of changes-bring in Prince as another playmaker, and help free Smith to get more ball to that backline, this  time with Felau on the end of it,not spinning his wheels on the left wing.Call me one eyed, but it ain't over till the Fat etc.

I meant to post this after the 30 to blot cockroach stomp at the Cauldron...
but it's never too late:

The Maroons win overnight has lifted the spirits of Queenslands Global Representative, seen here watching the Lang Park game live via satellite link.
DL is ecstatic over last nights win.
"I'm pumped!!" said his Holiness. "I found my old maroon cap, the one big Artie gave to me years ago, and I watched the game live!"
"I called the boys after the game and congratulated them on showing such ticker following the Sydney debacle".
He regrets his schedule kept him from the big event but promised to catch up with the Maroon Players during his next visit.
"They showed such strength and singleness of mind; they're an inspiration!"

The Big D was renowned for his skills at halfback during his tenure with the North Tibet Tigers.
Tales of their classic unbeaten 1971/72 season are still recounted with a passion normally reserved for 'Free Tibet' talks.
He recalls, "Dad wanted me to play in the forwards - but my tofu diet left me lacking the necessary strength".

"I'll continue to travel the World, promoting my passion; Free Tibet and Go the Maroons!!"

Help me Hoony I fail to get what this all about???? :P

Doesnt South Aussies keep kicking Victoria Butt in that game they call sate of origin AFL where the boys where tight shorts, dont throw a punch and sleep with there cousins, formally known as VFL but is now ruled by the Sydney Swans ::) ;D

Now that pretty much explains the feelings between NSW & Qld in the greatest game of all :D :D ;)
