We are having a meeting this saturday to sort out our new VMX series for 2013 /2014
This is just my personal draft of what i will propose at the meeting . I will update when we have dates / classes and rules confirmed . We will start in Oct and go through till April /May 5 or 6 rounds .
Any input welcomed good or bad
This series of events is in essence a group of old (and not so old ) Fullas and Fullesses reliving the glory days of Motocross ( Scrambling ) . The emphasis is to have a good time and good racing on motorcycles that cover the evolution of MX bikes before they all became beige.
Our aim is to leave the bullshit hairdresser mentality that comes with modern MX behind and one day at a time step back to simpler times when Sex was safe, racing was dangerous and drugs were a weekend recreation not a daily prescription.
No bikes model year later than 1990 are catered for at these events, please respect this and avoid being told “sorry you can’t ride that here “ by leaving any later model bikes at home . We have extended the cut off to 1990 as we feel this was really the end of real development of MX bikes until the new world 4 strokes were introduced.
All these events are run by volunteer enthusiasts just like you ,so dont be shy feel free to offer a hand when you can .
What do I need to bring to enter?.
A dirt bike up to 1990 model (see classes below)
Compulsory Safety gear, Helmet, full length boots, gloves, body armour or full length back protector, long sleeve shirt, suitable MX pants or jeans, goggles are recommended.
A good attitude, no whingers , whiners , mummies boys , or dickheads .
A sober driver (for after match function) we are responsible host .
Your own food and drink.
A signed entry form / indemnity and entry fee in cash ( no cheques , eftpos, or credit given )
International riders ( no charge )
What do I leave at home .
Any motorcycles post 1990 models
Bad attitudes
Pets ( 2 legged dogs are ok as long as they are sociable , and you are happy to share )
Do I need a racing licence? Short answer NO not for these events. (we will be happy to sell you a race licence $100.00 for the series but only if you feel the need to waste money on a pointless piece of paper , MNZ provides this service at a higher rate than ours )

Why no wavy disc? Cos there gay and if you had a wavy disc back in the day it was because you had run up the arse of something and bent your factory straight disc or you had a crook back .
All machines to be adequately silenced. All know all smart arses will be silenced .
All bikes to be in good mechanical order and safe to compete in competition . Responsibility to ensure bike is in safe working order is entirely the rider of that machines responsibility .
Eligibility scrutineers decision is final as to what class bikes fit into . In the event that a bike is considered to be post 1990 or post 1990 parts fitted machine may be excluded from the event .
If in doubt about a bikes eligibility email with detailed photos of bike to
[email protected] prior to bringing bike to an event.
