VMXWA's SmokeFree WA Millfarm Scramble
August 16, 2013
Wandering, Sunday 25th August 2013

Members of the Vintage Motocross Club of WA are busy preparing their pre 1975 solo and sidecar machines in preparation for the Smoke Fee WA Millfarm Scramble 2013, which will be held at Wandering on Sunday 25 August 2013. A large contingent of riders, mechanics, family members, friends and spectators are expected again this year and this annual event should not be missed by any motorsport fan.

The town of Wandering is a cosy farming community situated within the WA Wheatbelt only 120 Km south east of Perth. It’s a short but scenic 15 minute drive from the North Bannister Roadhouse on Albany Highway. The town of Wandering has 100 residents, with another 500 living in the Shire and the whole district comes alive when the Vintage Motocross event comes to town. For visitors the town features 2 wineries, a tavern and a fuel outlet among other amenities.

Up to 100 riders from many parts of WA will compete on 2 and 3 wheels. The meeting culminates at the end of the day with the Dan Ferguson Handicap, a tribute to the man who dreamed up this special event which started 12 years ago. The Ferguson family continues to support the VMX Club of WA by holding this event on their farming property, annually which is one of the best VMX venues in this country.

With a rider’s list which includes current and past National and State champions, the scene is set for what promises to be one of the best Millfarm Scrambles ever held.

Be part of the action. Spectator entry is free and full canteen facilities are available (at 1970’s prices)with a special coffee and cake stand being set up by the local P& C Association, to enhance the picnic atmosphere of a bygone era of motocross/scrambles race days.

Now there's a bloody top idea...might not raise too much cash, but would put folks in the retro mood.
Now, where's that 1970s gas station so I can fill up??

You went well, Rosco. So did you Tossa, that little CR250 Husky looks like a sweet ride.

I don`t see any montesa cappra, cz 125, At1, Dkw, Husky 125, in that video, a lot of nice bikes,  I saw a couple of me old bikes. I must say that I wish I could be there, the track looks great.
