Ping ping ping BANG.
Get a handle on that before the 25 lapper, are you sure it wasn't your pacemaker Dave?
Thought for next year, a 10 lap Classic Slider race? I should have one of mine ready for that.
You got that bottle of Port yet Dave?

Good stuff Dave,
Mate 25 laps is a long race, I find that I am puffed after 3 1/2 although I did it a bit easier last weekend at Nepean as i have been riding a push bike for 20 mins every day... Has definitely helped.
Brett

Picking up some 105 octane fuel tomorrow and maybe retard the spark a tad........I'm confident we'll have it sorted by Saturday....the 25 lapper will test MY endurance level......I might need the PORT for medicinal purposes........ :P :P

Sounds like fun--- but I would need to de-tune the motor to go the distance.
MY motor has detuned itself!, not much chance of making the distance!

  cheers pancho.

The Annual Nepean Charity meeti ng went off without a hitch today.....great weather, good racing but a weird quietness and lack of atmosphere. I don't know what it was but the vibe was that of a low key club day despite some good racing. The numbers were down a bit but it was good to see some new bikes.

The great OSSA guru Phil Young was there with his rapid Phantom for Kevin Horton to ride.

The races went off so well the meeting was over by 2.30......never seen that before.

Quote from Firko
" I don't know what it was but the vibe was that of a low key club day despite some good racing"

From a riders point of view here in lies the beauty of this event ,

I thought entry numbers were up a bit on last year, but attrition was  quite  high, number of bikes/riders not lasting the whole 2 days

Currently this is the  the only local " vintage only" club day style of event

Relaxed atmosphere, well prepared and maintained track, time for lunch, and finish early, all good from me.

I had a terrific 2 days and was home before dark,

Thanks to all the people who worked to make this happen
