You started the thread about the MC5 on ebay last week and Firko posted the link to the one on Marks swapmeet and thats what I ended up buying. It is actually a MC5 with the gs tank on it. I just bought the proper MC5 tank and lots of little bits from Curt at thirtybee a couple of days ago.Found a new pipe at Ace exhausts and found most other parts are available at vintage dirt bike parts at pretty good prices.
http://www.vintagedirtbikeparts.net/default.htm

I just found a 78 also that I am considering but i still like the 77's better. I am just about finished my CZ project and my Pursang project so need something else to do.
The seller of the 78 says he just rebuilt the whole bike new sleeve and piston, new plastic, fresh powder coat and more and needs to sell $1600. which is a pretty good price.

Maurice, also need a pipe for a 77, what was the $ and shipping and time to Oz?
'bout 2 year ago I tried to get onto Ace in Houston, and never got an answer to several calls, he must have been on holidays, anyways I put a wanted ad on Marks and got a reasonable original and an unused Ace, can never have too many pipes  ;D
BTW, think it was me that got the air box.... when it arrives I will have a slightly cracked one available....
What are you going to do for footpegs? Mine has the old skinny's and they are a bit different to anything else with their hi and lo positions.
What are you going to do for shocks? Mine still has the Marzoc's and they look good enough to rebuild but I like to do some things the easy way and am thinking about new shocks.

Gippslander... not sure about shipping to Oz as I am in Canada, his price was about $220 and 3 week order time, i got the proper tank, pegs, brake pedal, chain guide/brake stay, front and back brake arms and a front hub from Curt at thirty bee (the link Slakewell posted)
I heard circle f and jemco also make pipes but I haven't checked with them yet.
If the pegs don't fit Al Buehler said he had new pegs that fit the 77.
The guy who has the 78 I posted thinks he may have an extra airbox but not sure, let me know when your airbox gets there, if i haven't found one I would be interested in your old one.

I use the SS pegs from Al B, nice pegs that are serrated,

Here is link to the seat pics, Still to fit the cover yet, but the foam is good.

I dont get the foam from Al B, as i have bought one before and it weighs a tonne, i get one from the seat factory guy off US Ebay. Really nice high quality foam.
