Klub Kevlar will once again concentrate on the dirt track . I'm intending to bring my Hindall RT2MX flat tracker (the flame job bike). my little Cycle Factory DT1 flat tracker fitted with the trick RT1 piston port motor built for my Cheney motocrosser, just to run it in and jet it for the upcoming motocross meets. If I can get the engine finished I'd like to take my new Maico KR250 oval barrel short tracker, if I don't get to finishing it I'll bring either the Hindall RT2MX (the motocross one) or the Boyd and Stellings TM400. (I may still bring the Maico for display)

I've had a bit of a reshuffle and will now be taking the Cheney RT1 motocrosser, Cycle factory flat tracker with its new RT2MX motor and my new Maico KR250 flat tracker to display. I'll also bring my 50cc petrol mountain bike for venue to venue transport.  Can't wait.
'68 Yamaha DT1 enduro, '69 Yamaha 'DT1 from Hell' '69 DT1'Dunger from Hell, '69 Cheney Yamaha 360, 70 Maico 350 (2 off), '68 Hindall Ducati 250, Hindall RT2MX, Hindall YZ250a , Cycle Factory RT2MX flat tracker, Yamaha 1T250J, Maico 250 trials, '71, Boyd and Stellings TM400, Shell OW72,750 Yamaha

Oh Amaroo 8) It did take a big dose of courage to do fast laps consistently. Stop corner was always interesting and often got the old heart ticking way too fast ::) and way too often ;D

Also hitting the tip in point at the top of Bitupave when you tried to pass someone also got the heart relocated into the mouth  ;) a bit ;D. If you got it wrong then it stuffed the entry to Dunlop loop !! if you were luck :o

Will not have the Katana rebuilt again for HBBB :-[ :'(

i was getting slightly airborne over the humps along the back straight, when i braked into 'crash corner', well i crashed... :D i later found my fork seals had blown and i'd hit the right hand side engine case on the ground as i turned in.
the other time someone tried out braking me in the 2nd last corner, the down hill hairpin near the pit entrance, the guy lost the front and took me with him.  :-\
both times i've been ok and able to drive home, although i think i cracked a couple of ribs in the first crash, i hit the ground pretty hard.

although i did end up with a plated collar bone* after a big highside exiting the southern loop at Phillip Island once  ;D

*i still wear that plate with pride  ;)

If camping gets a bit tight at the track then don't fret because there is heaps of room to camp at the side of the Hume :o :o

The Broadford Servo has just reopened so getting fuel here is now an option again.

The last 2 owners decided they coulnd't compete with the large corporations on the highway and closed down.

Now we have a young couple who have refurbished the place and are trying to make a good go of it.
