« on: January 15, 2013, 09:13:54 pm »
Gidday, Craig from Brisbane. Been riding road bikes after have a couple of decades of no riding. Last couple of years been slowly getting back to dirt. Would love to try restoring and racing a VMX.

Looking forward to your suggestions  :)

Well done Craig. I did the same after 27 years and I can't believe what I have been missing.

Welcome to the forum Craig. Lots of us obsessed VMXers from Bris on here. What bike have you got, or interested in restoring?
Two great vmx clubs up here, Brisbane Motorcycle Club for bikes up to EVO, and QVMX for bikes up to Pre 90.
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Good to hear  ;D

Would love to restore something around my time, early 80s. Had an RM so that would be the first choice but happy to try any make.

What capacity?  I have a couple of RM125X's and an RM125T on the Sunshine Coast if you want to go evo?

125 might be a bit small to drag my barge ass around a track  ;D

Probably looking at a 250 at this stage.
