Been offered two "Cannondale"
« on: January 07, 2013, 10:05:18 pm »
They any good ? Wait one is a 440 MXer ? roughly 1999/2003 ? the other a mountain bike down hill racer thingo. Bloke brought them here from the USA. Look they are not really my scene (s?). Pm me if you may be inspired. $3500 the pair, The dingbat selling them says the pushbike is worth more than that alone...give me a break it is just a weird titanium framed treadly !!! Tim754

If the motocross bikes were any good they wouldn't have sent the company bankrupt..

So true but a bike doesn't have to be good to be collectable or interesting. $3.5K sounds like a good deal to me, especially if the 440MX is original and in good running order and the pushy is made from Ti.

alas, 'tis a pity I'm broke :'(.

I often thought about getting a canondale for the collection but they're still cheap and plentiful in the US and I think would be hard to sell here if needed.

Just did the whole shop around and ended up buying a Cannondale kids mountain bike for my son for Xmas. Apparently from what I can see the Cannondale brand is quite a premium brand in Mountain Bikes and I saw adults bikes which ranged from $800 up to 4K so he could be right about the Mountain Bike. One man's trash...

The Canondale mountain bikes are great bikes, unfortunately there venture into motorcycle manufacture ended badly and sent them bankrupt at the time.
Brand new Ohlins forks and shocks from the factory were being sold off cheaply at the time, i got a set of forks for a bargain price which also fit CR/CRF Hondas.
