Question about shocks

G,day viewers stupid question rear shocks the rubber stop on the shaft can you buy replacement ones and does that mean you have to splice them to put them on jimson

you pull the end off the shaft ,either the eyelet or the piston .you need a shop press and a split clamp to suit the shaft size

Don't cut the new bump-stops - they'll just pop off again if you do (and if you try adding a cable tie or something, the cable tie will break).

Most cheaper -twin shocks are easy to remove the eye and slide the bump-stop onto the shaft.
Most/all monoshocks need to be pulled apart to replace the bump-stop.

They're probably due for a service anyway. While they're apart the bump stops could go in. If everything else is ok with them then it shouldn't cost a whole lot. Fresh oil and a charge and they'll be good for more happy years of motoring.....
