It looks like Unadilla in the old days.. I was there a few weeks ago and it's nothing like that now, there is no grass.

There is no grass at Maleny ???

Cool thread,  I'll have to fire up the scanner.
I was talking about Unadilla having no grass now..

Not sure on the Husky
Dave Armstrong
Glen Mason? On a yz80? Looks like Wayne Biden from Bundy to me.

Has anyone got pics of the old Pine Rivers MX track (now known as North Lakes)? It closed just as I moved back to Brisbane, bit was told it was an awesome track...

Must've been a long time ago, I started in '76 and don't remember it. There was a redcliffe track not too far from there..

Pine Rivers?  I remember that one!

Based in-around an old quarry?  Or was that just the surrounding land?

I was routing round some old boxes the other day and found an old membership card for Pine Rivers.  You had to join to ride there.  Must have been 1982?

I'll see if I can dig it out on the weekend.

The Pine Rivers meetings I rode in the 70's were either at Kilcoy or Tivoli.

Pine rivers..was that the track on the left of the Bruce H/way inbound? There was also another mx track out near PGH brickworks at the end of Kremzow Rd.

Not 100% sure which one I went to.  Only went a few times back in around 82 or 83, but the brickworks does sound vaguely familiar.  All I remember is that it was next to what from memory was an old quarry area or similar..

Being an enduro rider, I spent more time in quarry area than on the main track...   ::)

The Pine Rivers meetings I rode in the 70's were either at Kilcoy or Tivoli.

There was a somewhat of a motocross track that the Pine Rivers motorcycle club run on inside and around the Caboolture speedway track (before the motocross track was set up on the road to summerset dam).

There was also a couple of tracks that were riding and not racing tracks, one off Kremzow road at Strathpine and also another along side the now freeway at North lakes. don't recall either being race tracks.

There was also a track where the dam is at Samonvale whch had a seniors motocross track and a junior flat track but that was pre 1975.

John, did you ever ride the old Redcliffe motocross track that was near the areodrome? big down hill drop off and then you rode back up the same hill. After this closed the motocross club moved to the dump site at Duffield road.

Shane I rode a redcliffe track once in '77 that from memory dropped down to another level then back up further round.

Yeah mate that was it.

We were still on XR's back then, I think Brett had a CR 125 so that would have been 76ish

I remember the old Redcliffe track on the Airdrome road, Yeah it had nice drop off and for some odd reason a mud trench on the front straight. Mortimer and  McLauchlan had some good battles there. I think it closed down in 1980 or there abouts as the houses got to close.

Slake were you in Brisbane back then? They were good times with some great tracks in the area.
