Chad hurt
« on: April 13, 2008, 07:02:50 pm »
Just read on the net that at the Detroit Supercross young Chad Reed was lying in the middle of the track in practice spitting blood. Apparently he broke his shoulder and did some internal injuries and still raced, finishing 12th in the final. You've got to give it to him, the boys got balls.

That sucks... not only for Chad to be hurt, but since he was running Stewart's speed before Stewart was injured..well, there was no speculation that he was the man. Honestly, I think Windham has stepped up his game this year, but still can't touch Chad's speed. Kind of pisses the interest in the championship..unless Chad somehow manages to continue-what a real tough motocross racer to get 12th with that injury( I have had that injury).
Well, maybe Hill will come on stronger and make it a contest.

i get fed up with the critics that babble on with thier crap about how he couldn't match, what was that other guys name? i've also heard it said about Chad, that he's probably the most consistent rider of all time and when he digs deep like this, it's just more proof to that compliment.
here's hoping he heals up well and i too have had a similar injury to whats happened to Chad and there ain't no way i was gonna hop back on my bike. let alone head out into an AMA supercross final.
Go Chad!

The boy must have some balls. He raced again on Saturday night and ran second behind Windham and still leads the championship by 13 points with 2 races left. One tough dude.

its a nailbiter, that's for sure.  i hope he pulls it off, cause of all that grit he brings.  and think how he'll celebrate if he does!

suspect it might be followed by some announcement or another from him....

I also heard that "bubba" wasn't happy with Chads move in taking him out (bubba's words) that he was really pissed off and pushed Chad's bike off the work stand in the pits.

Ahh yes just what we wanted the kids to look up to in a sportsman.
The AMA should have the balls to say naughty boy....you're out for 1 meeting....but i doubt it and then you'll get copy-cats doing the same thing and if bubba can do it and get away with it....so can i.

There is no sportsmanship in sport anymore cause the almighty dollar took care of that!

Chad's move was tame compared with Bubba's take out of Partridge!

I wonder if Partridge went and pushed Bubba's bike over?

Dave, Billy hasn't raced here yet, the season starts in a couple of weeks. He is living in Toowoomba a couple of hours from here so i guess we'll see him on the track soon.
