And by way of comparison, here's a bike that is valuable as a great resoration and has already attracted some hefty bids as a result...(although it still has not reached reserve either...) ::)

I've been watching that A4, it certainly is a nice bike. Interesting to see what it goes for, they are fairly rare and not a bad bike either. If it goes over 6 grand US that's pretty good money.

I must agree, that is a nice A4. That bike's been restored absolutely as it should be. Let me now show you a classic example of how not to do it. This bloke's turned one of the sports prettier and more desirable bikes into a tasteless eyesore. Even though it's probably a nice race bike, he's totally ruined its resale value as both a resto and a race bike. It's a big ask to find someone insane enough to like two tone red and yellow wheels. Sorry to contaminate the Kawasaki thread with a Honda, and a grotesque one to boot.

Being the type of person who doesn't mind a bit of mixing and matching and the odd splash of weird colours I thought maybe this eBay CR firko posted mightn't quite be as bad as he makes out :o it is!! redo the wheels, paint the head black and whack on some green number backgrounds would go a long way to making this bike asthetically attractive. Still wouldn't look right but better..it's amazing..one of the few Honda models I really do like and they go and do that to it!  :(

I remember the first listing saying in the Heading Title "Rarer than YZ360A" . COME ON PLEASE get your fact's right mate.

I'm sure they made a few thousand KX450's compared to around 500 or so YZ360A's.

Here's a nice one.

::)With regard to the Honda posted by Firko, those busy colours and graphics would be more at home on a modern MXer.
The bloke should have listened to his girlfriend; less is more!
