Man what a FANTASTIC WEEKEND at CD9! Well, saturday for me anyway! No riding just looking,looking,looking, just amazing, i hope this is in NSW next year so i can go again, my bike will be up and running by then too, just couldnt have enjoyed it any more. My first Classic dirt, can you tell!
I did promise to catch up with a couple of you over the day but never got further than the bikes,bikes,bikes, i never expected so many, nor did i expect the quality of lots of the resto work either, Anthony Gunters Kx was just amazing and so were lots of others. I conned Al Tomkins into going with me (anyone remember Al of Kawasaki WEst fame?), big mistake, i now have saw jaw and neck mustles, talking to Al and every bastard that knew him all day and whipping my head this way and that looking at bikes, just fantastic, Al and i will be back for sure!
Must also thank the guys who put in the work to get the place up and running, just amazing, from the guys on the gate to everyone involved, THANKYOU.
Geoff Ballard, shit the guy is still just as fast as he was at Dargle in 1980! CONGRATULATION GEOFF you are an inspiration to us all mate, and its about time i said THANKYOU for all the pointers you gave me all those years ago too Mr Ballard!
