The 2012 MOMS require a front sprocket cover and rear chain/sprocket guard that prevents easy access to the leading edge of the rear sprocket by finger.

The MOMS also require a handlebar pad or steering stem pad (but not on Pre78 and earlier bikes for some unknown reason).

Almost all bikes after Pre78 already comply as standard but not all.

Heaven requires a bar/steering stem pad for all bikes (we see it as common sense that a Pre75 cross bar can do just as much damage as a Pre85 cross bar)

The requirements are not as problematic as it sounds so give us a call if you are not sure. The rear chain guide on most later era bikes satisfies rear sprocket cover requirement or cable tie, rivet or screw a small piece plastic to the existing chain guide.

This is not new and we have been working through it all year. Don't panic ;D

Neil, This explains it all

After you fit chain guide to bike be careful to leave sufficent room on swingarm to accomodate MA Rulebook Page 26 Section 27 Clause 3 Paragraph 4 Item 6: A clothespeg is to be affixed to swingarm encompassing a sturdy piece of cardboard which must protrude 22mm to the inside of the outer edge of the wheel spokes so as to create sufficent noise to warn of approaching machine. What a good weekend!

I was a bit... "Bike Challenged"... The KX125 blew a head gasket, the YZ250 did a base gasket, the KDX200 ran out of spark, and I lost the nut that holds the YZ125's shock in.
Got the YZ up and running thanks to a leaf and some gasket goo - it actually ran better than ever, after I bodged it up...

Big thanks to Steve G for the ride on his YZ125G while I was waiting for the goo to dry out.

Also big thanks to everyone who made it happen, particularly those in HEAVEN who knew the sky wouldn't fall if the pre-90s came along for a ride! :)
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
