1984 KX125
« on: June 06, 2012, 09:38:04 pm »
I've got an 84 KX125 that I was going to rebuild but I’m never going to get to it and some job issues have forced me to start selling stuff. :'(

About the bike:
- it is complete but needs a full resto/rebuild.  Haven't tried to start it so don't know if it runs, but it does turn over
- needs all new suspension linkage bushes/bearings, rear shock needs rebuilding (it's like a pogo stick), fork seals leak oil otherwise forks seem ok
- the fuel tank mount on the right side is broken (easily welded back up) but otherwise the frame seems ok, except some fool has painted it and the fork legs white and cut half the radiator shroud off
- plastics need replacing, but fuel tank is not too bad, some fuel staining and a decent scratch just in front of the seat (actually a ceet cover, but has a small rip and the foam seems a bit lumpy)
- wheels seem straight, looks like a crack in the front rim, tyres are had it
- pipe is good, only a few small dints, don't think it is the original silencer

Just wanting to get my money back, so looking for $750.

I can to deliver to the classic championships on Saturday.

I do have someone interested, but I will know whether they want it or not tomorrow (Thursday) - he's decided not to buy it at this stage

Let me know if you want anymore details/pictures, will try to get them for you.

Won't be around a computer for next couple of days, given that the timing is a bit rushed if you want it delivered to the classic champs, best if you give me a call on 0488 207 374.

I'm sooooo tempted .... I don't have any green in my shed yet.  If it doesn't sell to the other guy let me know.

How would his shed be full when he is filling up my shed ;)

Coming very soon....I will be re-locating Simo`s exquisite XR to a new secret location along with my bikes. I`ve sold my property and bought another.
