Perhaps a spoke end dislodged by one of the 10 table tops around the track. For each bike, practice, plus 4 races x 3 laps. That is more than approx 150-160 'thuds'. Wouldn't take much would it.
Mate, when I got out of the car Sunday night after 3 and a half hours of cooling down I could barely walk. Yesterday, I was very sore hobbling around. Today, surprisingly, much better thanks. It was a very good thing I remembered to put my hip pads in my pants, I often forget them. Cheers
