I have used Hagon shocks for 4 years on my DR500 and they are good for the price, the only down side is they do fade with the heat.Great fun bike and you won't have to keep fixing them.

Darrell at Moose Racing is supposed to be a dealer/distributor, but I didn't have much success with him.
I had good communication with him up until I said I wanted to order, then I never heard from him again.
I've sent a couple of emails since, but no response.  ???

WE use GAZI shocks and have had very good results and reliability from them.

I tried that but Hagon UK told me I had to buy off Moose Racing over here.
So I just went and bought another brand.........  ;)

You need a shock with a stroke length a round 5.5" for the DR400 and I don't think the DR 500 is much different. If you use a shorter overall shock the front end is is a bit slack. When I've checked both Hagon and Gazi in the past they've had a stroke shorter than that.
