Who is the Aussie connection
« on: March 16, 2008, 09:03:52 am »
Who is the Aussie connection for these blokes? I emailed them last time they listed these parts but no reply was ever received. They say they have a web site but offer no link to it or web address. ??? ???

How did you get around that "we will not ship to Australia" thingy? His quite clear about that point in the listing.

I tried to get some plastics from them recently also and was told to use the Aussie supplier who they said is Vintage Plastics, which i believe is Les at Mainly Maico.

People like Vintage plastics can only survive with the local support . They also have no currancy transaction problems and shipping should be no headache ;)

I much rather buy from an Aussie Co, I have stated a few time on the forums that I believe we should support those in Oz who support us.
I will check out Les web site. If he carries them I will go with the Aussie supplier.  ;)

First I went to was Red Devil however repro plastics for early CR silver tank models were not listed.. I have in the passed and will continue to support Oz co's  ;D ;D ;D

Les at Mainly Maico is the improter for VMX Racing plastics.
www.mainlymaico.com or www.vintageplastics.com.au

If the item you need is not listed, just give Les a call.

Cheers,
Mark.

Does Les at mainly Maico assist you guys in the east quickly?
I ordered some parts for a 74 cr125. rang 3 times. Was informed I would recieve a return call? Glad I never waited.
This was October last year. I also believe you should help people in the fraternity close to where you come from, but if you dont get the service in the end you have to go elsewhere.
I have asked and dicussed with others over here in the west and they report the same "service"
I ended up dealing with AMS Racing and the parts arrive very qucik at a good price. Shame.

Example of Les's services.

Spoke to him regarding a new Mikuni Carb , spare jets and some new plastics on  Friaday March 14th 2008.

Carbi , including spare jets and new plastics turned up lunch time today.

How good is that.

He also does YSS shocks , providing he has stock in the same time.
