selling 1982 yamaha yz 50 dont have time to fix her up so shes gotta go needs big end bearing and conrod and piston n rings
$300 obo or would consider swap for earily 80s z50 roller must have everything minus engin carb and electrics

What's the number on the frame ??  I thought the 82 was a 60 not a 50??  I could be wrong - I often am  :-[

in 82 there was a 50 and 60 prefix for 60 was 5x1 prefix for 50 was 5x7 which this one is

There you go - you learn something every day.  Proven wrong once again  :-[

You wouldn't happen to know if the same applied to the 1981 YZ 60 would you ??.  I thought the 3R was for the G model, but maybe it was for the 1981 50 as well.  Clymer only show one model (the 60), but tehre seems to be a 50 as well.

i dont really know i know the was an 81 yz50 because alll the yz50s from 80 onwrd were the same other than the guards the engine and frame number on mine are 5x7 but all parts have a 3r1 somewher on them

Yamaha went nuts in '82 and had YZ50, 60, 80, 100, 125, 250 & 490.  ::)

Looking at those picks they sure did a good job of scaling down the little ones to look like the big ones - excellent marketing to the litlle tackers  ;D

if there any one intrested im willing to take $150 for the bike and ill include a new gasket kit and air filter is also missing exhaust
