"Tony,
Just a quick update on the track for the Vinduro. We spent most of Saturday working out all the little bits and pieces that go into making a good flowing Vinduro track.
The track looks to be a ripper, it's mostly single trail stuff - semi tight in nature. Although not an overly technical track, because of the restrictions imposed by changing the property we were using, there are a couple of technical spots.
The Power Line Hill is included, and this does require a degree of commitment by the rider. Just don't take it too easy or you'll get caught. There is nothing on the hill that makes it difficult or overly challenging, it's just long and a little steep.
We've just put in a old/new section coming down just to the west of the Power Line Hill. Once at the bottom we have included a very good 1st and 2nd gear section through and around the creek line just behind the camping/start area.
This is my favourite section, it's a great flip flop through the trees up and down the creek bed..... Bloody good fun on the Husky. A little technical, but great fun.
Overall the loop is good fun to ride, not too technical, not too hard.
I phoned the property owner this morning and he did get quite a bit of rain yesterday.
That said he is not at all worried about the track and the rain at this time. This could change if we get a prolonged rainy period of several hours.
The forecast appears to telling us that the rain should disperse over the coming week, so it's looking good for a dust free ride, it may be a bit muddy in some places, but hey, we're old dirt bike riders and a bit of mud is just par for the course."
