Smythe was riding a modded KX back then but didnt come over for this race.
Even the 250 Honda's weren't great ,without alot of work ala Pace and Brehens they were hardly competitive although Andrew Baileys brother Rob was competing on a stockie.

THIS IS Greg Leaney a Classic Scramble Club Memeber and proud to have him greg standing with his Greeves that rode in the sixties and still riding her, another ex- champion race number 45#, when he retired in 1970 Mike Landman took over his number, I have been told that Mike landman idol was greg. Greg was a machanic at John Burrows Motocycles in the sixties.

Okay, that makes sense. To a young kid just getting into mx they looked like modified KX's.What about 76?Same bike I believe

Mark, I'm quite sure Graeme wasn't ridng the big green in 1975...he was still here in WA and HVA mounted....wasn't it more like 1977..I remember he and Frank coming over for a local "Mr Motocross " race with the greenies ..I rode the 250 around Noble Falls after the race meet...def not 1975...
