VMX issue #33 is getting closer now....
« on: March 05, 2008, 02:25:22 pm »
OK, it's about time we give you all a sneak preview of the cover of the next issue of VMX. ::)

Yes, we're running a tad late, but we're close now!  ;)

Yes, the YZ250 F/G feature has finally made it into the mag! (this was originally intended for issue #24, but never seemed to make it for various reasons... ::)`

I've just spent a leisurely couple of hours browsing my new VMX, issue 33. As a fan of the less common aspects of our sport I thoroughly enjoyed the Kramer history. It's an interesting yarn on one of the cool yet often overlooked bikes of the 70s and 80s. Even though many think I don't appreciate evo bikes, I enjoyed the YZ 250F cover girl story and the Hannah OW 40 works bike. I even apreciated the garish 125 Mugen. It's colour scheme screams out 80s hip!
In my main interest area there's a cool 501 Maico and an OSSA Phantom build. Our own Leith does a good plastic tank resto piece that I wish I could have had access to when I 'restored' my plastic Maico tank a few years ago!
Oh, and there's a very well researched and written Montesa yarn in there as well !

Congraulations to everyone involved. Job well done!

There are eBay pre-sale listings nowadays, but the magazines are not mailed until the same time as the subscribers, at the earliest.

I think you'll find it much more expensive to buy through the US eBay listing.  The postage will be a minimum of US$8.50 I think.... :o

And if you're a subscriber, you ALWAYS get it first and cheapest - bet on it. ;)

I think those boys are slipping in a new subscription form every two issues :-\. It can't be twelve months already!
And I've been humbled by Firko's column. Nailed it on the bloody head! ;D

Arrived in Darwin today. I've spent my RDO reading, work on the bikes can wait.

I have a question for the guys who produce this fine publication, Do you know how many copies come to Darwin? both subscription and to newsagents?

It would help gauge the interest up here, could help us trying to run a class.

Thanks for the great work guys

Brent
